Relief from fake international calls, the central government has given a solution; 20 foreign service providers blocked
The people of the country will no longer have to worry about fake foreign calls. Till now, thugs sitting abroad used to call from other numbers that looked like Indian numbers. Many people also got trapped in their trap. But now a big success has been achieved in stopping the calls. At the same time, when calls come from other foreign numbers, it will be written on the mobile that it is an international call.

The central government has begun to crack down on fake international calls. This will now provide relief to consumers from unwanted calls. The government said the indigenously developed system to identify and block international fake calls that appear as Indian mobile numbers has reduced such calls to about four lakh per day.
The government has asked Indian telecom companies to launch a campaign against foreign service providers who are colluding in fake international calls. Many Indian telecom firms, such as Airtel and BSNL, on their part, have blocked more than 20 of these service providers who were sending fake calls.
Recently, the Department of Telecommunications, along with all the Telecom Service Providers, introduced an indigenously developed International Incoming Spoofed Call Prevention System. It blocked 90% of all incoming international calls identified as fraudulent calls, approximately 1.35 crore in just 24 hours.
It is worth noting that earlier fraudsters were using international spoofed calls displaying Indian mobile numbers (+91-33333) to defraud Indian citizens and commit cyber crimes and financial frauds. The number makes it appear that the calls are being made from some part of India, which is not the case. These calls are made from abroad through manipulation of the Calling Line Identity, commonly known as the phone number.
However, due to the successful implementation of the indigenous prevention system, the fraudsters sitting abroad have changed their modus operandi and have now started committing fraud using international numbers. To deal with this, the Department of Telecommunications has asked service providers to display 'international call' on all calls coming from outside India.
