PM Modi Maharashtra Visit: The Prime Minister will also launch the 'Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Mahila Startup Yojana'. Under this scheme, women-led start-ups in Maharashtra will be given initial help. Financial assistance of up to Rs 25 lakh will be provided under this scheme.
During the National PM, Vishwakarma program at Wardha, Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the exhibition and met the beneficiaries of the scheme. During this time, he distributed the certificates and loans to the beneficiaries of the scheme. Under the scheme, the Prime Minister provided loans to 18 beneficiaries under 18 trades. Along with this, a postage stamp on completion of one year under the scheme was also released. This would include laying the foundation stone of a textile park at Amravati by the Prime Minister.
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the setting up of 'PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park' in Amravati. The park is being developed by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation on 1,000 acres. About seven PM Mitra parks for the textile industry have been sanctioned by the Centre.
The release said, PM Mitra Park is an important step towards making India a hub of global textile manufacturing and export. It will help in creating a world-class industrial infrastructure, which will attract large-scale investment, and foreign direct investment (FDI) and promote innovation and employment generation in the sector.
Prime Minister Modi will also launch the 'Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Center' scheme of the Maharashtra government. Under this scheme, skill development training centers will be set up in the famous colleges of the state, where persons between the age of 15 to 45 years will be trained so that they can become self-reliant and gain access to various employment opportunities. Every year about 1.5 lakh youth will be given free skill development training under this scheme.
Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also launch the 'Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Mahila Startup Yojana'. Under this scheme, women-led startups in Maharashtra will be given initial help. Under this scheme, financial assistance of up to Rs 25 lakh will be provided and 25 percent of the total provision will be reserved for women from backward castes and economically weaker sections. This scheme will help women-led startups to become self-reliant and independent.
