PM Modi told Jamaica Marg that India is a reliable partner in Jamaica's development journey
PM Modi: PM Modi held bilateral talks with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness. In a joint press conference after the talks, Modi said that he and Holness also discussed regional and global issues. It was agreed that all tensions and disputes should be resolved through dialogue. The road in front of the Jamaica High Commission will be named Jamaica Marg.
On Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi said that India is a reliable partner in the development journey of Jamaica. It will share all the expertise with this Caribbean country in several areas, such as digital public infrastructure, bio-fuel, innovation and health. PM Modi said these during bilateral talks with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
In the joint press conference after the talks, Modi said that he and Mr. Holness also discussed regional and global issues. Thereafter, it was agreed that all tensions and disputes must be resolved through dialogue. India and Jamaica are of the view that reforms are needed in all global institutions, including the United Nations Security Council.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi announced that the road in front of the Jamaica High Commission in New Delhi would be known as Jamaica Marg. He said that sports play a very important role in relations and India and Jamaica are cricket-loving countries.
Before the bilateral talks with PM Modi, Jamaican Prime Minister Holness paid respects at Rajghat and visited it. A Champa plant was also planted here. BJP President JP Nadda met Holness. This meeting took place under the initiative BJP Ko Jaanein. The Jamaican Prime Minister will visit Varanasi on Wednesday. Here he will visit Sarnath and attend Ganga Aarti. Holness arrived in India on Monday on a four-day visit and this is the first visit of any Jamaican Prime Minister to India.
Jamaican Prime Minister calls on President Draupadi Murmu The Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness called on President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday. In this, the leaders of both the countries agreed to further strengthen the partnership at different levels. The President extended a hearty welcome to the visiting Prime Minister of Jamaica and said that the Jamaican people enjoy a special place in the hearts of Indians.
