PM Modi to Hoist Giant Saffron Flag on Ram Temple Spire on November 25, Marking Completion of Construction
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist a flag on the top of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on November 25th. This flag is being manufactured by a company in Ahmedabad.
November 25th is going to be a historic day in Ramnagari. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will hoist a specially designed giant saffron flag on the top of the 161-foot-high Ram Temple. This ceremony will mark the formal completion of the construction of the temple.
The flag is 22 feet long and 11 feet wide. The flag was produced by a reputed 80-year-old company in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, that deals in parachute and flag manufacturing. The flag is made of three layers of special silk satin and parachute fabric, which can bear the strong sunlight, heavy rain, and winds with a speed of 60 km/h. It bears the symbol of the sun, the 'Om' sign, and the Kovidar tree.
The flag will be hoisted on a 42-foot-high flagpole atop the temple's main spire. This pole is mounted on a 360-degree rotating ball-bearing chamber, ensuring the flag flutters gracefully even in strong winds and will not tear. The flag hoisting will take place in 10 seconds at the press of a button, and will be visible from a distance of 3 kilometers.
