Leaders from across the world will gather for PM Modi's swearing-in ceremony, know who has been invited

Acting Prime Minister Narendra Modi can take oath as Prime Minister at the end of this week. Like the year 2014, this time also leaders from across the world will gather for the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister. These include the heads of state of Sri Lanka, Nepal, Mauritius etc. The President of Sri Lanka has also accepted the invitation to the swearing-in ceremony.

Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe said in a post shared on social media that he congratulated Narendra Modi on the victory of the BJP-led NDA in the Lok Sabha elections on Wednesday. The social media post read 'This victory shows that the people of India have expressed faith in progress and prosperity under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Being the closest neighbor, the government of Sri Lanka is looking forward to further strengthening relations with India.'

The media department of the Sri Lankan President wrote in another social media post that 'during the talks between the leaders of the two countries, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited President Wickremesinghe to the swearing-in ceremony, which President Wickremasinghe accepted.'
