DIKSHA Platform Explained: NCERT's Digital Learning Initiative for Students and Teachers Across India
The government stated that the Diksha platform has become the country's "One Nation, One Digital Platform," providing curriculum-based digital resources for school education.
As per the government, "Diksha" (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing Platform) is the "One Nation, One Digital Platform." This platform serves as the source of digital learning content for schooling education that conforms to the curriculum. Thus, it contributes to ensuring education to all the learners and teachers in India through the help of technology.
Diksha was launched in the year 2017 and is managed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) along with the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET).
The objective of Diksha is to ensure continuity in education through digital mode. The platform offers complete K-12 digital learning solution covering basic literacy and numeracy as well as senior secondary subjects. Diksha has been adopted by most state education boards and union territories and can be tailored to local language and curriculum requirements.
