Market cap of three of the top 10 companies increased by 1.06 lakh crores, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank benefited the most

Last week, the market cap of three of the top 10 most valuable companies of Sensex increased by a total of Rs 106125.98 crore. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank were the biggest gainers. At the same time, the market of companies like Reliance Industries and Bharti Airtel declined. The market value of all these companies collectively decreased by Rs 101769.1 crore.

Last week, the market cap of three out of the top 10 most valuable companies of Sensex rose by Rs 1,06,125.98 crore. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank were the biggest gainers. At the same time, the market value of companies like Reliance Industries and Bharti Airtel declined. The total market value of all these companies dropped by Rs 1,01,769.1 cr.

At the same time, HDFC Bank's market cap jumped by Rs 52,091.56 crore to Rs 12,67,056.69 crore. ICICI Bank gained Rs 36,118.99 crore in the week. Its valuation stood at Rs 8,13,914.89 crore. Infosys' valuation at the same time jumped by Rs 17,915.43 crore to Rs 6,35,945.80 crore.

The market position of Reliance Industries slipped by Rs 32,271.31 crore to Rs 19,66,686.57 crore. The market cap of government insurance company LIC fell by Rs 27,260.74 crore. It came down to Rs 6,47,616.51 crore. The market valuation of ITC, with diversified businesses ranging from FMCG to hotels dropped by Rs 14,357.43 crore to Rs 5,23,858.91 crore.

Another FMCG company, Hindustan Unilever, also turned out to be a loser. Its market status fell by Rs 8,904.95 crore to Rs 5,73,617.46 crore. The market cap of TCS fell by Rs 8,321.6 crore to Rs 13,78,111.45 crore. The valuation of telecom company Bharti Airtel declined by Rs 7,261.72 crore to Rs 8,04,262.65 crore. The market capitalization of SBI fell by Rs 3,391.35 crore to Rs 7,46,454.54 crore.

Wherever the top 10 companies of Sensex are in discussion, then billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries restored its first position in the list. Next came TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India, LIC, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, and ITC, respectively.
