The celebration of World Calligraphy Day began in 2022 with Akshar Mahotsav, signifying “letter” and “festival,” uniting into the festival of letters. It inspired artistic growth and innovation. The event intertwined individuals with Indian calligraphy and artistry. The minds behind Akshar Mahotsav 23, Mr. Abhishek Vardhan Singh and Ms. Ekta Chahar, aimed to highlight “Celebration of Indian Script and Cultural Heritage,” positioning Akshar at the forefront for interaction and integration with diverse fields. Akshar Mahotsav 23 was aimed at building Akshar Bharat.

The Mahotsav unfolded through three progressive phases: INTRODUCTION, APPLICATION, and CELEBRATION. Sulekhan Kala Pradarshini showcased 150 artworks by diverse calligraphers and artists. More than 100 students aged 8 to 14 actively participated in Navankur Sulekhan. The event attracted over 450 guests, all of whom participated in the festivities.
