Indian bowlers have performed well in the fourth Test against England being played at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi. Bengal fast bowler Akash Deep, who made his debut in this match for India, has wreaked havoc bowling and destroyed England's top order.

It was not easy for Akashdeep, a resident of Sasaram, Bihar, to reach here. Due to poverty and family problems, Akashdeep had to struggle hard to fulfil his dream. Akashdeep wanted to play cricket for the country since childhood. But his father discouraged him. Besides, the poor condition of Bihar cricket also became a hindrance in his path.

Akash Deep's father did not encourage him to play cricket because of his financial situation. He left his family in such a situation and travelled from Sasaram to Durgapur in search of employment. where his uncle provided for him and covered his costs. There, he enrolled in a nearby academy and began to pursue his cricket career dreams. His incisive bowling began to bring him recognition. However, a heart attack claimed his father's life. Even the shock of his elder brother's death two months later was too much for him to handle. This was how seriously broken they were.

Mother found herself living alone, and the family began to experience financial difficulties. As a result, Sasaram returned to cricket and Akash Deep quit. It took Akash Deep three years to get back on the cricket pitch. However, Sangharsh also gave in to his ambition to play cricket and moved to Kolkata. Here, a fast bowler moved in with his cousin after renting a small room. He proceeded and his relationship with cricket was restored after that.

His early success earned him a spot on the Bengal Under-23 squad. He then had the opportunity to make his Ranji Trophy debut. He made his first-class cricket debut in December 2019 and did well. As a result, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) became interested in him and purchased him at the 2022 IPL auction. But in two seasons, he was only able to participate in seven games.
