Jio-BP launched 500th EV-charging station, charging points increased to five thousand
The number of EV-charging stations of Jio-BP Pulse has reached 500. The 500th EV-charging station has been installed at Jio World Center (JWC) located in BKC, Mumbai. With this, the number of their charging points has now reached 5000. Within a year, Jio-BP Pulse has installed 3700 charging stations across India. These have been installed around malls, public parking, corporate parks, hotels.
It was inaugurated by Anant Ambani and Murray Auchincloss, the 500th EV-charging station of Jio-BP Pulse at Jio World Center, BKC, Mumbai. With the opening of this charging station, the charging points of Jio-BP in India have now reached 5,000. This charging station is an easy way to charge electric vehicles for all those visiting the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center, Jio World Plaza, and Jio World Convention Center located in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai.
Anant Ambani, at the inauguration of the 500th EV-charging station, had this to say: "Jio-BP is at the forefront in accelerating the adoption of EVs in the country. With the largest network share of fast-charging stations, the fastest growth in EV-charging infrastructure, and the highest reliability, Jio-BP is providing digital charging solutions to millions of Indians.".
Jio-BP further scaled up the number of EV-charging points from 1,300 to 5,000 in a year. Of the total number of EV-charging points, 95 percent do fast-charging. Jio-BP is the first company to install top-rated 480 kW chargers. These charging stations have been installed at places like malls, public parking, corporate parks, hotels, and wayside facilities. In a way, Jio-BP is also promoting electric vehicles by rapidly expanding the charging infra.
