JDS leader HD Revanna did not get relief in kidnapping case sent to judicial custody till May 14; An arrest was made in this case
HD Revanna Kidnapping Case: After completion of four days of police custody, 66-year-old Revanna, son of JD(S) patriarch and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, was produced before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate. The court sent him to judicial custody for seven days till May 14. Based on Revanna's complaint, he is under arrest in the alleged case of kidnapping of a woman.
Karnataka JD(S) MLA and former minister HD Revanna, facing kidnapping charges, was on Wednesday sent to judicial custody till May 14 by a Bengaluru magistrate court. Also, his bail plea before the sessions court has been posted for Thursday.
His custody was ordered by the court to last for seven days, until May 14. The JD(S) founder and former prime minister HD Deve Gowda is the father of Revanna. In connection with the abduction and unlawful detention of a mother of three children, he was apprehended. The arrest occurred after the filing of a formal complaint (FIR) against Revanna, 66, by her son.
BJP-JD(S) candidate from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, Prajwal Revanna, has been booked under charges of rape and molestation. A case has been registered against Revanna under sections 354A, 354D, 506, and 509 of the Indian Penal Code for sexual harassment, intimidation, and outraging the dignity of a woman. According to the complaint, the victim has claimed that Prajwal Revanna and his father HD Revanna sexually assaulted her.
