Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium gets bomb threat for the fourth time, security tightened
Jaipur sms stadium gets again bomb threat: Investigation has been intensified after a bomb threat email was received at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium has once again received a bomb threat for the fourth time in a week. In response, security has been heightened. The last threatening email received on the official ID of the Rajasthan Sports Council had the message 'HMX Bomb Blast Sawai Mansingh Stadium Operation Prabhakar Divij' as its subject and contained a threatening message that read, "Don't mess with Pakistan. We have sleeper cells in India. Your hospitals will also get blown up for Operation Sindoor." Authorities have taken these repeat threats seriously and have increased the investigation.
The likelihood of a coordinated effort to create panic by referring to the existence of foreign sleeper cells and revenge attacks against counter-terrorism operations is being investigated. Security has likewise increased in metro stations, hospitals and other public facilities.
Ensuring public safety has become a top priority for Rajasthan's law enforcement agencies with the IPL matches scheduled soon, officials said. Confirming the incident, Sports Council president Neeraj K Pawan said the state government has taken extra precautions this time in view of the bomb threats. "We are stepping up four-step security measures. We will deploy additional police and bouncers. We have increased the number of cameras and repaired the faulty ones," he said.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Sports Council secretary Rajendra Singh Sisodia said this is the fourth such threat targeting the stadium. He said the e-mails not only threatened the stadium but also mentioned attacks on hospitals. The police have been informed about the matter and cyber crime experts have started an investigation to trace the sender. Meanwhile, round-the-clock security has been beefed up at the stadium and security guards have been deployed at all major locations.
This is not the first such incident in Jaipur recently. Earlier, on May 8, May 12 and May 13, the stadium received bomb threats. On May 9, Jaipur Metro also received bomb threats through email, warning of explosions in metro stations and trains, again mentioning 'Operation Sindoor'. On February 20, SMS Medical College was threatened with a bomb blast through email, which came to light on February 22. Similarly, on October 4, 2023, more than 100 airports across India, including Jaipur International Airport, received emails threatening to blow them up. The message sent to CISF officials said, "Let us take on the most powerful countries in the world alone. There will be blasts everywhere... there will be blasts... there will be blasts."
