Miami Open Final: Aryna Sabalenka defeated Elena Rybakina in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 in the Miami Open semifinals to reach the final.
Aryna Sabalenka won in straight sets against Elena Rybakina with a score of 6-4 and 6-3 in the semifinal of the Miami Open. This win has put her in a position where she is only a single win away from the championship title. In the final of the Miami Open, Aryna Sabalenka is scheduled to face Coco Gauff. Gauff made a fantastic comeback in the match despite losing the first set and went on to win against Karolina Muchova with a score of 6-1 and 6-1.
She won 12 of the final 13 games of the match. This win has given Aryna Sabalenka her 10th win of the season on the WTA Tour. This is the second successive year that Aryna Sabalenka has made it to the final of the Miami Open. Aryna Sabalenka is the first player in the history of the Miami Open to make two successive final appearances in 2023 and 2024 and the first since Serena Williams (2013-2015) to achieve the feat while being the number one in the world.
Despite trailing 4-5 in the first set, Sabalenka made a champion comeback. She broke Rybakina's serve with a combination of a cross-court backhand and a powerful overhead shot. The second set was largely a one-sided affair, with Sabalenka taking a 4-0 lead. She then easily won the set and the match. She closed the match with a powerful cross-court forehand after a T-serve.

After her victory, Sabalenka celebrated by writing her nickname, "Tiger," on camera. Sabalenka became the fourth player this century to reach the final of her first four WTA tournaments of the season. Prior to him, this feat was achieved by Martina Hingis (2001), Serena Williams (2003), and Victoria Azarenka (2012).
Alexander Zverev defeated Francisco Cerundolo in a one-sided fashion at the ongoing Miami Open to advance to the semifinals, where he will face world number two Jannik Sinner. Zverev defeated Cerundolo in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. This marks the first time he has reached the semifinals of both the Indian Wells and Miami Opens in the same season. This is also his 25th ATP Masters 1000 semifinal.
Zverev appeared completely in control in the match, which lasted just over an hour. The two-time ATP Finals champion won 84 percent of his serve points and converted four of seven break points. Zverev's focus will now be on Sinner, who leads their head-to-head 7-4 and has won his last six matches against Zverev. Earlier this month, he had also defeated Zverev in Indian Wells.
