It has been raining heavily in Tamil Nadu for the last several days. Due to continuous heavy rains, a flood-like situation is prevailing in the state. Due to rain, my entire life has been disrupted. Due to heavy rains, the water level of many rivers and lakes in the state has increased significantly.

Anoushiya Mayil, a pregnant woman who was airlifted from flood-hit Srivaikuntam in Thoothukudi, delivered a baby boy at the government-run Rajaji Hospital yesterday morning. He was airlifted by a rescue team of the Indian Air Force (IAF) following an SOS message sent by the family. She was later brought to Madurai and admitted to the GRH maternity ward.
