IND vs ENG: Ashwin and Bairstow will play 100th Test, this will happen for the third time in 147 years of Test history

The fifth and last match of the five-match Test series being played between India and England will be played with 7 matches. This match, to be played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala, will be the 100 Test match of Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and England wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow. With this both these players will record a big record in their name.

This will be the third time in the history of 147 years of Test cricket that players from two different teams will play their 100th Test match together. Ashwin will be the 14th Indian player to achieve this feat. Whereas Bairstow will become the 17th English player to play 100 Tests.

If we focus on Ashwin's Test career, he has taken 507 wickets for India in 187 innings of 99 Test matches at an average of 23.92. During this period, he has taken five wickets 35 times and 10 wickets eight times. Apart from this, in batting, Ashwin has scored 3309 runs in 140 innings at an average of 26.47. During this period he scored five centuries and 14 half-centuries.
