An Air India Express flight bound for Dubai from Karipur International Airport in Kozhikode, Kerala suddenly had to be diverted to Kannur.

About an hour after takeoff, the pilot saw the fire alarm light burning in the flight, after which India Express Flight IX 345 was immediately diverted towards Kannur. However, after investigation, it was found that it was a false alarm.

Sources informed that 176 people including the pilot were present in this flight. The flight landed safely in Kannur around 11 a.m. This flight took off from Karipur airport at 9:53 a.m.
