The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers has now come out with data regarding vehicles exported from the country. According to this, in this quarter of the calendar year, automobile exports have risen 15.5 percent from April to June. In which shipments have increased in all sectors except three-wheelers. The total exports in the first quarter of this financial year stood at 11,92,577 units, while in the previous financial year, it was 10,32,449 units. This time in the first quarter, this export was 1,80,483 units. At the same time, it is 19 percent from 1,52,156 units last year. Talking about the leader in exporting vehicles, is Maruti Suzuki India Limited. It has sent out shipments of 69,962 units in this quarter. The same period had 62,857 units exported in the first quarter of FY 2023-24. Hyundai Motor India has exported more vehicles at number two. It exported 42,600 units. For the same period, there were exports of 35,100 units in the last financial year.

The two-wheeler export in the first quarter of FY 24-25 remained at 9,23,148 units, a growth of 17 percent over the same period last year. In the same period last year, it had exported 7,91,316 units. On the commercial vehicle front, its shipment has increased by 8 percent at 15,741 units on a year-over-year basis, while it was 14,625 units last year.

In the April-June period of FY 24-25, shipment of three-wheelers has gone down by 3 percent year-on-year. The export unit went down to 71,281 from 73360 units last year.
