England's cricket team has suffered a major setback. England team captain Ben Stokes will be away from the cricket field for the next 3 months due to a hamstring injury. The England and Wales Cricket Board has issued a statement giving an update on his injury and said that Ben Stokes will undergo hamstring surgery next month. After this, he will undergo rehab and will be away from cricket for at least three months.

Actually, he got injured in the just-concluded Test series against New Zealand in Hamilton. In fact, earlier he missed the home summer series against Sri Lanka and the first Test in Pakistan in October with a hamstring problem. Having gotten injured again, now he will not be able to play cricket for three months.

On Sunday itself, the England and Wales Cricket Board announced the England team for the India tour in January-February and the ICC Champions Trophy to be played in Pakistan in February-March, in which no place has been given to Ben Stokes.
