New Delhi (India), March 13: Dr. Jitesh Jain an Arthroscopic and Sports Injury Specialist [ MS ( ORTHO), FNB ( joint replacement and sports injuries), FISM ( Hongkong)]. He has a long list of patients who after the NASA Technique have returned to sports or pre-injury level successfully.
NASA technique of ACL reconstruction was devised by Dr Jitesh Jain arthroscopic and sports injury specialist from Jaipur.
When we talked about this technique he described this as a revolutionary technique he devised after doing more than 1000 ACL reconstruction surgeries. After doing hundreds of knee ligament surgeries he understood that the 3 main causes of failure of this surgery are thin graft, wrong tunnel placement and screw-related complications. To address these complications and fasten recovery he found the best ACL reconstruction technique as the “NASA” technique. This is a screwless technique where only a single tendon is used as a graft. Despite of single tendon use, the thickness of the graft is kept at a 9mm minimum. The anatomical placement of small-length tunnels gives less pain and fast recovery.
