Case filed against Hero Moto Corp CEO Pawan Munjal, police accused the case of forgery and fraud.

Vasant Kunj North police station has registered a case against Hero MotoCorp Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pawan Munjal and others on charges of forgery, fraud, and making false bills worth more than Rs 5 crore.

In the complaint lodged by Darshan Pandey as Brains Logistics Private Limited, Hero MotoCorp Limited (HMCL), Pawan Munjal, Vikram Sitaram, Hari Prakash Gupta, and Manjula Banerjee, a partner in Daylight Haskins & Sales Limited, have been named as accused. He alleged that fake monthly bills of Rs 5.94 crore were made for the year 2009-10 and they were stamped with 'Hero MotoCorp Limited'.

It is alleged that HMCL has created a wrong debit balance of Rs 5.94 lakh in its accounts against the complainant company obtained the wrong CENVAT (Service Tax) credit of Rs 55.51 lakh against fake bills and defrauded the Income Tax Department. Brains Logistics never deposited these bills in 2009-10.

Hero MotoCorp had also filed a case. Hero MotoCorp said that this is an old case related to disgruntled service provider Brains Logistics Private Limited from the year 2009-10. It is worth noting that the complainant has mentioned the officers of the company in the complaint, but no officer has been named in the FIR. In the year 2013, Hero MotoCorp also filed a case against him, which is going on in the competent court.
