PM Modi visits semiconductor center, and invites Singapore companies to Semicon India
Singapore: According to a Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) press release, during the visit to the semiconductor center, PM Modi and Lawrence Wong were briefed on AEM's role in the global semiconductor value chain, its operations, and its plans for India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Singaporean counterpart, Lawrence Wong, visited AEM Holdings Limited's Semiconductor Centre and invited Singaporean semiconductor companies to participate in the Semicon India exhibition, which will be held in Greater Noida from September 11 to 13.
According to a Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) press release, during the visit to the semiconductor center, PM Modi and Lawrence Wong were briefed on AEM's role in the global semiconductor value chain, its operations, and its plans for India. In a press release, the MEA said, "The Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association gave a briefing on the development of the semiconductor ecosystem in Singapore and opportunities for collaboration with India."
PM Modi and Lawrence Wong also met with Indian trainees from the World Skills Centre in Odisha who were training in Singapore, as well as Singapore trainees who had come to India as part of the CII-Enterprise Singapore India Ready Talent Programme and Indian engineers working at AEM.
