Economic Affairs Secretary Ajay Seth said that India has saved $27 billion in government schemes through Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). Along with this, it has been successful in achieving financial inclusion in a short time.
In the last decade, the government has provided help to the right beneficiaries through DBT. This has helped a large number of taxpayers save money.
India has made a significant achievement on the front of financial inclusion. Today, 80 percent of people in India have bank accounts, which was 20 percent 7 to 8 years ago. If work were done at an earlier speed, this figure would be achieved in the next 47 years.
