DGCA took cognizance of Vistara flight cancellation issue, sought report
Vistara Flight Cancellation: About 50 Vistara Airlines flights have been cancelled on Monday. Around 160 planes flew late. About 70 flights are expected to be cancelled on Tuesday also. If this happens then Vistara passengers may have to face problems.
The government has swung into action following public outrage over the cancellation of a large number of Vistara Airlines flights and flight delays. DGCA, which monitors aviation services, has taken cognizance of this matter. In fact, in recent days many flights had to be cancelled due to the unavailability of pilots.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, DGCA said, "Given the prevailing situation, information and details for cancellations and delays of flights have been sought from the airlines. DGCA officials are also monitoring the situation."
On Monday, the airline Vistara cancelled about fifty flights. Some 160 aircraft took off late. On Tuesday, there will likely be about 70 cancelled flights. Vistara customers may experience issues if this occurs. Reliable sources claim that Vistara Airlines flies over 300 domestic and international routes. The airline intends to reduce the backlog of impacted passengers by deploying larger Dreamliners and Airbus A321s on domestic routes.
