Sela Tunnel recognized by International Book of Honor, officially recognized as India's highest tunnel
Sela Tunnel: Border Roads Organization (BRO) is celebrating. England's International Book of Honor has officially recognized the Sela Tunnel as the highest tunnel in the country.
The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is having a party. The Sela Tunnel is now officially acknowledged as the highest tunnel in the nation by England's International Book of Honour.
Situated at an elevation of 13,000 feet, the Tezpur-Tawang road leads through this 2.598-kilometer tunnel. India's Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is building it. The strategically significant Tawang region will be year-round accessible thanks to this road.
"I am very happy to know that the International Book of Honor of England has recognized the Sela Tunnel as the highest tunnel in the country. This 2.598 km long engineering marvel," the Arunachal Chief Minister wrote on his handle on social media Twitter. Kamal has been built by @BROindia at an altitude of 13000 feet on the Tezpur-Tawang road. Which has greatly accelerated connectivity in the strategic area of Arunachal Pradesh."
