The local assembly of Hyundai Venue has begun in Nepal, according to a statement released by Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) and Lakshmi Group. On May 10, 2024, the Republic of Korea's ambassador Tae-Young Park, and Nepal's prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal officially opened the nation's first auto assembly plant.
On the commencement of assembly, Unsoo Kim, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “This plant in Nepal has an installed capacity of assembling 5,000 units annually.
