Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Proposes Smart Road Tech to Prevent Accidents, Ease Traffic
Accident Real-Time Alert: TRAI has proposed a new wireless technology to make roads safer, alerting drivers about accidents and reducing traffic congestion.
Roads will be made safer in India due to the issuance of the consultation paper by TRAI. The recommendation is that there will be the use of technology that provides real-time warnings of collisions and traffic congestion. This will involve installing wireless technology on roads to alert drivers to impending accidents and catch traffic violators.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) issued a consultation paper regarding the VX2 technology. This technology will allow vehicles to communicate wirelessly with each other, traffic lights, and cellular networks in real-time. This is because TRAI regulates wireless communication systems.
There will be wireless gadgets in cars. They will serve two purposes: they will alert motorists of a collision that might occur shortly or if the car is out of control. It will also help reduce congestion and save fuel by improving signal timing and providing the correct route based on traffic.
