Flying Taxis In China: The Chinese government has given permission to start an autonomous air taxi service in the country. Along with this, some companies in China have released a video of flying taxi which is becoming very viral on the internet.
China has made a significant leap towards having a low-altitude economy. The Chinese Civil Aviation Authority (CAAC) has granted permission to use passenger drones autonomously commercially for the very first time. It has paved the way for initiating air taxi service in China.
China's Aviation Authority has granted an Air Operator Certificate to EHang Holdings and Hefei Hey Airlines, as reported by media outlets. The two airlines will now be in a position to provide sightseeing tours over urban centers using pilotless drone taxis. The decision came after the two firms reached safety and technical requirements
EHang company has developed a state-of-the-art electric air taxi called EH216-S. Recently, the video of the testing of this air taxi is become very viral on social media. It is a two-seater drone taxi equipped with 16 propellers, which can fly up to a height of 3,000 meters at a speed of 100 km/h. It is considered a revolutionary step for airport transfer, tourism, and urban transportation.
