Andre Russell, West Indies' fiery all-rounder, has selected his performance against India in the 2016 T20 World Cup semi-final and winning two T20 World Cup titles (2012 and 2016) for West Indies as the most memorable moments of his cricketing life. Russell was part of the West Indies T20 World Cup-winning side in 2012 and 2016. He will feature in his final two international games on July 20 and 22. When the host side will face Australia in the first two T20 Internationals at their home venue at Sabina Park.

Andre Russell recalled his and Lendl Simmons' match-winning innings against India in the 2016 T20 World Cup semi-final and called it the most special moment of his career. West Indies successfully achieved the target of more than 190 runs. Russell also praised the batting of the opening batsmen which set the stage for his and Simmons' aggressive batting.

He said that I think there was already a bit of pressure, but the wicket was very good. Our confidence in the changing room and the upcoming batsmen gave me confidence and freedom to go to the field and play my role. Obviously winning two World Cups is a different feeling.

He further said, "I have done my best in whatever opportunity I got while representing West Indies. I think this is the perfect ground and the perfect series against a good team like Australia at the last stage of my international career. Just seeing the posts and seeing the things going on the internet, to be honest, I got a little emotional. But the decisions have already been made and I think I have done so well that I can truly say that this is my right time for international cricket where I am saying goodbye."
