An air hostess was carrying one kg of gold hidden in her private part, which was revealed at the airport; even the officials were surprised

An air hostess traveling from Muscat to Kannur is the subject of an extremely startling case. During her flight from Muscat to Kannur, an air hostess concealed one kilogram of gold within her waist. They say she was hiding the gold in an attempt to smuggle it. After being apprehended, the flight hostess was brought into detention in Kannur, Kerala. This incident's details have been provided by a DRI source.

It is reported that Surabhi Khatoon is the name of the air hostess. Officers from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence detained Surabhi, a Kolkata resident, at the airport after receiving specific information from DRI Kochi.

After a personal search, 960 grams of smuggled gold in mixed form concealed in her rectum was recovered. After interrogation and necessary negotiations, she was produced before the jurisdictional magistrate and sent to Kannur women's prison for 14 days, the source told PTI.

The source claimed that this is the first case in India where a cabin crew member has been caught for smuggling gold concealed in the rectum.

Investigation into the case has begun and evidence found so far suggests that she has smuggled gold several times before. The source told PTI that the involvement of Kerala-based persons in the smuggling gang is also being investigated.
