Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has targeted the state's BJP government directly regarding Haryana's Lado Laxmi Yojana. Party's in-charge of national media Anurag Dhanda stated that the Chief Minister Naib Singh government has failed to keep its word to women, and this scheme is a fine example of the BJP's election promises.

Dhanda charged that among 1.4 crore women of Haryana, hardly a few selected ones will benefit out of this, whereas the BJP in the assembly polls had assured to provide Rs 2100 each to all women. Dhanda mentioned that the income limit for families of BPL is Rs 1.80 lakh annually, but only women with Rs 1 lakh have been covered under the scheme. As a result of this, many other women who are eligible will also be excluded.

He raised the question that when the voting age is 18 years, then why is the condition of 23 years kept in the scheme? By excluding college-going girls from this, the government has snatched their rights. Also, if a woman in a family is already getting the benefit of a pension or any other scheme, then other women of the same family will be deprived of this scheme.

Dhanda said that the BJP had made big promises at the time of elections, but now the reality is that hardly 10% women will be able to take advantage. He warned that the women of Haryana will definitely answer this deception in the coming elections.
