World Economic Forum: Hardeep Singh Puri met a special friend in Switzerland, remembered the old days

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri met his old friend Celso Amorim. Celso Amorim is currently the chief advisor to Brazilian President Lula da Silva. Both of them met during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Following their encounter, Hardeep Singh Puri reminisced about his time as India's ambassador to Brazil, during which Celso Amorim served as Brazil's foreign minister. Aside from this, Celso was the Brazilian ambassador in London at the time Hardeep Puri was named the new Indian ambassador to the UK.

Greetings from my old friend Celso Amorim, Hardeep Puri said on social media platform X. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the president of Brazil, currently has him as his top counsellor. He served as Brazil's Foreign Minister from 2006 to 2008, the year I was posted there as the Indian Ambassador. He was the Brazilian Ambassador to London before I was appointed India's Deputy High Commissioner to the UK.

Ministers Hardeep Puri of Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Smriti Irani of Women and Child Development attended the World Economic Forum. The WeLead Lounge in Davos was inaugurated on Monday by the two executives and other prominent members of the sector. The role of women in the economy is exhibited in this lounge. It is ready to talk about women's progress.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's direction, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri also emphasised the value of women's power. In a post, he mentioned how fantastic it felt to represent his company, Smt. Smriti Irani, at the World Economic Forum.
