Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri met his old friend Celso Amorim. Celso Amorim is currently the chief advisor to Brazilian President Lula da Silva. Both of them met during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Following their encounter, Hardeep Singh Puri reminisced about his time as India's ambassador to Brazil, during which Celso Amorim served as Brazil's foreign minister. Aside from this, Celso was the Brazilian ambassador in London at the time Hardeep Puri was named the new Indian ambassador to the UK.

He served as Brazil's Foreign Minister from 2006 to 2008, the year I was posted there as the Indian Ambassador. He was the Brazilian Ambassador to London before I was appointed India's Deputy High Commissioner to the UK.
