Ludhiana, a bustling hub of Punjab’s vibrant culture, welcomed a new milestone in consumer retail with the inauguration of Voltas Limited’s first Company Owned & Company Operated (CoCo) brand store on August 18, 2025. As India’s leading air conditioning brand under the Tata umbrella, Voltas marked this expansion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Pradeep Bakshi, Managing Director and CEO of Voltas Limited. The store, strategically located in the heart of Ludhiana, is the city’s first CoCo outlet and the 24th Voltas brand store in Punjab, signaling the company’s commitment to deepening its retail footprint across India.

The 2,200-square-foot store is designed as a state-of-the-art experience center, showcasing a wide range of Voltas and Voltas Beko products. Customers can explore air conditioners, air purifiers, air coolers, commercial refrigerators, water dispensers, water coolers, refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves, and dishwashers. Unlike traditional retail models, the CoCo format allows Voltas to maintain complete ownership and operational control, ensuring a consistent and premium customer experience. From innovative cooling solutions to tech-savvy kitchen appliances, the store caters to the evolving needs of Ludhiana’s discerning consumers, blending functionality with modern design.

Speaking at the inauguration, Pradeep Bakshi emphasized the significance of the launch. “We are thrilled to bring our flagship CoCo store to Ludhiana, a city known for its vibrant culture and discerning consumers,” he said. “This launch reflects our commitment to deepening customer engagement and providing direct access to our full range of innovative products and services.” Bakshi further highlighted Voltas’ customer-centric approach, inviting residents to visit the visually appealing store to discover how technology-driven appliances can enhance daily comfort and convenience. His words underscore the brand’s focus on aligning with the aspirations of modern households.

The Ludhiana CoCo store stands out not only for its product diversity but also for its immersive shopping environment. Spanning a spacious layout, the store is designed to offer an unmatched experience, allowing customers to interact with products firsthand. From energy-efficient air conditioners to smart home appliances, the store showcases Voltas’ leadership in cooling and household solutions. This launch complements the four existing Voltas brand stores in Ludhiana, further strengthening the company’s presence in Punjab, a key market for home appliances.

The opening aligns with Voltas’ broader retail strategy to expand its offline presence across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 cities. By establishing CoCo stores, the company aims to make its innovative products more accessible while offering personalized service. The Ludhiana store, with its focus on customer engagement, is a testament to Voltas’ mission to deliver quality and convenience directly to consumers. Industry observers note that this move positions Voltas to capture a growing segment of tech-savvy buyers in Punjab, where demand for premium appliances is on the rise.
