In the Thanjavur district, there was a horrifying traffic accident in Sethubavattram. When a van struck a wall on Saturday, police said that four people had died and seven had suffered significant injuries.

According to the police, the van carrying 11 people travelling from Tuticorin to Velankanni crashed into a wall near Manora on East Coast Road in Sethubavachatram late last night.

The Thanjavur Medical College Hospital has received the injured parties. Four people's bodies, according to the police, have been transferred for post-mortems to the Pattukottai government hospital. His family has currently been made aware of this, and the police have begun their investigation.

Last Friday, there was also a significant mishap in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. After attending a wedding, a group of four persons in an Ertiga car lost control of the vehicle and it plunged into a canal. This disaster claimed four lives and left several more with serious injuries. When the police arrived, they sent the bodies for a post-mortem and took the injured to the hospital for treatment.
