Sukant Kadam gets silver medal in Spanish Para-Badminton 2024
In the final, Sukant faced compatriot Tarun. Sukant started the match well but lost the first game 13-21. In the second game, Sukant made a strong comeback and worked hard to win 21-16.

Top para-shuttler Sukant Kadam won a silver medal at the Spanish Para-Badminton International 2024-II tournament played in Vitoria, Spain. In the final of the SL4 category, Sukant had to face defeat against compatriot Tarun. Sukant defeated world champion Suhas Yathiraj in the semi-finals.
Sukant played his countryman Tarun in the final. Sukant played well in the opening game of the match but lost 13–21. Sukant battled hard to win 21-16 in the second game after mounting a formidable comeback. Sukant made a few costly errors in the third and final game, which cost him the match. 13-21, 21-16, 16-21 was the match's final score.
Talking about the match, Sukant said, “I think my tournament was very good, I played well in the final also but Tarun was much ahead of me. Now my focus is on the Grade Level 1 Spanish Tournament starting next week. I will analyze the mistakes of the tournament and make sure I don't repeat them again.”
