SpiceJet Agreement With Goshawk: SpiceJet Inks Agreement With Goshawk For 3 Aircraft
The agreement will allow the entry of two more fuel-efficient Boeing 737 MAX aircraft into the SpiceJet fleet.
SpiceJet has entered into an aircraft leaser agreement for two Boeing 737 MAX and one Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft with Goshawk Aviation Ltd. and its affiliated leasing entities Wilmington Trust SP Services Ltd., Sabarmati Aviation Leasing Ltd., and Falgu Aviation Leasing Ltd. A settlement agreement is signed. The agreement will allow the entry of two more fuel-efficient Boeing 737 MAX aircraft into the SpiceJet fleet.
The airline said the agreement - whose terms are confidential - eliminates all litigation proceedings between the parties, adding that it would allow SpiceJet to have two more fuel-efficient Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and one Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft in its fleet. Adding will be allowed.
Recently, SpiceJet has been in trouble with its lessees, Ireland-based Alterna Aircraft Ltd and UAE aeronautics firm AWAS, who had asked the Indian aviation regulator to de-register their planes.
