In early trade on Wednesday, the rupee performed better than yesterday's level. Indian currency 'Rupee' opened strongly against the dollar today. The rupee rose 2 paise to 83.23 against the US dollar in early trade.
On the Interbank Foreign Exchange, the rupee opened at 83.24 against the dollar today and then rose to 83.23, an increase of 2 paise over its previous close. Let us tell you that yesterday the rupee closed at the level of 83.25.
The dollar index, which gauges the dollar's strength against six world currencies, fell 0.07 percent to 106.18 in morning trade.
