On Friday, the decision of the three-day meeting of the RBI's monetary committee policy will be announced. It is expected that the repo rate may be cut by 0.25 percent this time. It remains at 6.5 percent right now.

According to the Bank of Baroda report, the main focus of the central bank is on inflation, which is showing a softening. Inflation pressure has been reduced mainly due to the fall in the prices of essential vegetables like tomatoes, onions, and potatoes. Therefore, there is a possibility of a cut in the repo rate.

Economist Sandeep Vempati believes that RBI may keep the rate unchanged this time too, as inflation is still above the target of four percent. RBI is also expected to focus on growth while maintaining price stability. The central bank may also announce additional liquidity measures.
