Pre-booking of BMW 5 Series long-wheelbase started, going to be launched in July

BMW has begun bookings for the new 5 Series Long Wheelbase (LWB) in India, ahead of its July 24, 2024 introduction. The new BMW 5 Series LWB will be built in India alone. Pre-booking for the new automobile is currently open at BMW dealerships across India as well as the brand's online store. Please let us know about it.

The new BMW 5 Series LWB for India is 5175 mm long, 1900 mm wide, and 1520 mm high. The wheelbase measures 3105 mm, which is 110 mm longer than the normal model. In comparison to its predecessor, the model has grown 212 mm longer, 32 mm wider, and 41 mm taller.

In terms of design, the new generation 5 Series LWB looks similar to the standard wheelbase version. The bold kidney grille, sharply styled bumper with large air intake, new adaptive LED headlamps, and slim wraparound LED taillights give the model a sharp look. Also, the influence of the larger 7 Series cannot be ignored and it gives the model a premium look. The car has been given 18-inch alloy wheels for the Indian market.

The cabin of the new 5 Series is similar to the new 7 Series. The long wheelbase version gets extra legroom at the rear. There is a thick padding on the rear seat for more legroom, which does not have a reclining function, as seen in the E-Class.

The front gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument console with a curved display and a larger 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment display. It runs on the iDrive 8.5 operating system.

In terms of features, it gets seat ventilation, an 18-speaker, a 655-watt Bowers & Wilkins sound system, wireless charging, two rear entertainment screens, and the ADAS suite of electronic aids.

The new BMW 5 Series for India will be offered with long-wheelbase petrol and diesel engines. BMW has not announced the engine lineup, but it is expected to offer the familiar 2.0-litre petrol and diesel along with new 48-volt mild-hybrid technology.
