Honda has introduced the fourth generation Honda Passport SUV at the global level. Many changes have been made from the design to the features of the new Honda Passport. It has been made a more powerful and off-roading vehicle than before. It has been made keeping the American market in the center. It uses a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine.
The fourth-generation Honda Passport SUV has been introduced worldwide by Honda. Compared to its current model, the new Honda Passport is a little larger. Its appearance has changed to one that is stronger and more straightforward. Along with this, it has been made for more off-roading than before, which can be introduced as a strong SUV that can take it anywhere by Honda. Let's know what features it has come with.
The new Passport SUV is given a far better look than before. It has been brought to the ground with a simple design giving it the identity of a better SUV. Its front part has large and boxy-shaped headlamps, a flat clamshell hood with a wide hood scoop finished in contrasting black, and a straight grille with two slats. Not only this but a wide air dam has been given above the front bumper, below which a large-sized skid plate has been given.
Coming to the side panel, it has flared fenders, and plastic cladding around the wheel arch with contrasting black door handles that give it an SUV look. The ground clearance of the new Passport is higher than its predecessor. It has shorter front overhangs, giving it a better approach angle to improve off-road capability. It rides on larger 18-inch alloy wheels with larger 31-inch tires. At the back, it gets a wrap-around windscreen, a black contrasting trim above the housing for the registration plate, and a faux silver skid plate.
The interior of the new Honda Passport has been kept like before. In this 5-seater SUV, the dashboard has been carried out in an all-black theme while the seat upholstery and door pads get variant-specific contrasting shades and stitching. Other than this, it gets a 12.4-inch infotainment screen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Other than this, it gets dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera and ADAS.
Powering the new Honda Passport is a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine making 285 hp of power. The engine comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine has been deployed by Honda in its other vehicles too. However, in the rugged Trailsport off-road-focused variant, Honda has done the tuning for off-road sorties.
The new Passport SUV has been made for the North American market. Which simply means that it will not be launched in India. Honda is preparing to launch the new Amaze sedan on December 4 for the Indian market.
