Mercedes-Benz India has launched the GLE 300d 4Matic AMG in the Indian market. This AMG Line variant will replace the 300d entry-level diesel variant and has been brought with AMG-specific cosmetic updates. Let's know what new features will be seen in it.

Equipped are 20-inch AMG alloy wheels with Tremolite Grey finish. Upfront, the disc brake is enlarged this time compared to the outgoing model. It received, meanwhile, an AMG front apron with a chrome trim strip and a diffusor-look insert in black, with the AMG rear apron carrying a trim strip in chrome.

Not just that, it has a diamond grill with a three-pointed star pattern that is painted in matte dark gray along with a chrome insert and black surround. At the same time, a sportier air inlet and AMG side skirt painted in the color of the vehicle are given at the front. This will cost you an additional Rs 1.2 lakh over and above the price of GLE 300d.

The new 300d 4Matic AMG Line gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which produces 269hp and 550Nm of peak torque. Nestled inside the powertrain is a 48V mild-hybrid integrated starter-generator, boosting another 20hp with 200Nm in peak output. Its engine is linked with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The company claims the diesel GLE accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 230 kmph.

The ex-showroom price of a GLE 300d 4Matic AMG in India ranges from Rs 97.85 lakh to Rs 1.15 crore. It will compete head-to-head with the BMW X5, Audi Q7, and Lexus RX during its deployment in India. It has been designed keeping your comfort in mind.
