Opening batsman KL Rahul played the first match this season and scored 77 runs off 51 balls with the support of three sixes and six fours. Besides him, Abhishek Porel scored 33 runs in 20 balls with the support of four fours and one six. For Chennai, Khalil Ahmed picked up two wickets for 25 runs in four overs.
