Karnataka High Court extended Bhavani Revanna's interim bail in kidnapping case, asked questions to investigation committee

The Karnataka High Court granted Bhavani Revanna interim protection in the kidnapping case. The deadline for anticipatory bail given to Bhavani Revanna's mother in the kidnapping case involving pornographic videos has been extended. The court has ruled that the previously granted interim anticipatory bail be extended until additional orders are issued. Let us remind you that on June 7, the Karnataka High Court granted Bhavani anticipatory bail in the case.

On Friday, Justice Krishna S Dixit heard the plea filed by Bhavani. The hearing was completed by the bench headed by Dixit, who subsequently reserved his verdict. The petitioner attended the hearing for three days, as ordered by the court.

The petitioner said, 'Bhavani is not cooperating in the investigation. Everything is wrong information. No question has been answered correctly. Bhavani Revanna is the main accused in the entire case. He played the main role in the kidnapping of the victim. He should be taken into custody and questioned, so the anticipatory bail already granted should be canceled.'

In this case, the bench asked the investigating authority to give reasons why Bhavani should be taken into custody. The bench said, 'Bhavani's lawyer, the petitioner is appearing before the investigating officers and is helping the police in every way. Therefore, there is no need for arrest.

Bhavani is an accused in the kidnapping case registered under sections 64 (A), 365, 109, and 120 (B) of the IPC. Her husband HD Revanna was earlier arrested on April 29 in the kidnapping case and a special court for public representatives granted him conditional bail. The case registered at the Holenarasipura Town Police Station on April 28, alleges sexual assault against Revanna and his son, Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna.
