Jasprit Bumrah, ICC Test rankings: Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has again become the number one bowler in the Test bowlers' rankings.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday released the latest Test rankings. There has been a big upheaval in the Test bowlers' rankings and Indian star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has become the number 1 bowler. He has overtaken South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada. Bumrah performed brilliantly in the first Test played against Australia in Perth and took 8 wickets. Which has now benefited him in the rankings.
Bumrah has gained two places, he has risen from number three to the top with a rating point of 883. Bumrah has reached the first position for the second time in a calendar year. Rabada is in second place with 872 rating points. Australia's fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is in third place with 860 rating points.
Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin did not feature in the Perth Test. Yet he has managed to find a place. Ashwin has reached the fourth position with 807 rating points. On the other hand, Australian captain Pat Cummins has fallen below the top five after taking just three wickets in the match. Nathan Lyon too has slipped a position to eighth. He has 782 rating points.
Among the bowlers, Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has lost one place. He is in seventh place with 794 rating points. Fast bowler Prabhat Jayasuriya of Sri Lanka is in fifth place with 801 rating points after gaining two places.
