ISRO: Un-docking and docking experiment in Spadex Mission next month, process will be repeated several times
Indian Space Research Organisation: ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan said that after connecting both the satellites of the Spadex Mission, all the processes are going on normally.

After successfully performing the complex satellite-docking operation of merging two satellites together in outer space, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is now planning to carry out un-docking and docking tests again. For this, first of all, both of the satellites will be separated apart (UnDocking) and afterward will join together. All of these tasks will commence around mid-March, says top officials of ISRO.
ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan said that after connecting both the satellites of the Spadex Mission, all the processes are going on normally. The satellites are in good condition. The Spadex Mission is not limited to only connecting the two satellites. This story is not over yet. The satellites will be undocked and docked again. After that, this process will be repeated several times.
The ISRO chairman said that the satellites require a lot of power for undocking and docking. After being joined together, the satellites are revolving in an elliptical orbit of the Earth and there is no continuity in energy production in this orbit. Energy is produced from the solar panels of the satellite. Therefore, the window will be available till mid-March and then the activities related to the Spadex mission will resume.
