There was a commotion at Indore's Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport on Monday, when the pilot of the Indigo company flight coming from Goa to Indore contacted the ATC tower and sought permission for an emergency landing.

The pilot encountered an undercarriage warning signal in the aircraft control system during landing at Indore airport, which means that the landing gear is faulty or not opening properly. Following the information, all the emergency arrangements were done in a jiffy at the airport. The pilot also ensured a safe landing of the plane after hovering around.

By doing so, a serious aircraft accident was prevented at Indore airport. IndiGo flight 6E 813 from Goa to Indore arrived at Indore at 4.40 pm, but the pilot received a warning of a landing gear fault just before landing. This resulted in a crisis for the safe landing of the aircraft. There were 140 passengers in the aircraft.

As soon as the system warned, the pilot showed alertness and contacted ATC and signaled for an emergency landing, and the plane stopped landing and started circling in the air. This caused panic among the passengers sitting in the plane. After circling in the air for about half an hour, the landing gear was activated again with the understanding of the pilot and the technical team, and the plane landed safely at 5.15 pm.

It is worth noting that the undercarriage warning system informs the pilots that the plane is not ready for landing. It gives a signal of a fault in the landing gear of the plane. If the landing gear does not work, it is not possible for the plane to land on the runway.

The entire team was stationed on the runway. The airport management says that after getting the information about the emergency landing, emergency facilities were immediately activated around the runway. The pilot was contacted by ATC all the time. Fire brigade, ambulance etc., were stationed near the runway. After landing, the passengers were also deboarded immediately.

After landing at Indore airport, the technical fault of the plane was examined by engineers. The technical fault of the plane was rectified within an hour. After this, the plane could leave for Raipur. This plane reaches Indore from Goa at 4.55 pm and leaves for Raipur at around 5.15 pm. Due to a technical fault, this plane could leave for Raipur at 8 pm.
