IND-W vs PAK-W: Richa Ghosh's whirlwind innings helps India post a respectable total against Pakistan

The sixth match of the Women's World Cup is being played between India and Pakistan at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. Batting first, India made 247 runs all wickets in 50 overs. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl. Batting first, no Indian batsman had a great inning, but due to considerable contributions by everyone, the team made 247 runs, giving Pakistan a tough target to achieve.

Openers Mandhana and Pratika Rawal contributed 48 runs for the first wicket. Mandhana was out for 23 off 32 balls, and Rawal for 31 off 37 balls. Harleen Deol was India's top scorer with 46 runs. She scored four fours and a six in her 65-ball stay at the crease. Jemimah Rodrigues scored 32, Deepti Sharma 25, and Sneh Rana 20.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Richa Ghosh played a key role in India's 247-run stand in the final overs, scoring an unbeaten 35 off 20 balls, including two sixes and three fours. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored 19 runs.

Diana Baig was the most successful bowler for Pakistan, taking four wickets for 69 runs in 10 overs. Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana took two wickets each. Rameen Shamim and Nashra Sandhu took one wicket each.
