IAA gives North Star Medal to India's Srinivasan Swamy and Ramesh Narayan, honored for special contribution
International Advertising Association: The International Advertising Association has honored Srinivasan Swamy and Ramesh Narayan with the Special North Star Medal for their special contribution to their field. Both have been presidents of the India chapter of IAA. The IAA is the world's only globally-focused integrated advertising trade association representing advertising agencies and media.
The 85th anniversary of the International Advertising Association (IAA) was held in New York. In this, Srinivasan Swamy and Ramesh Narayan have been awarded the Special North Star Medal for their special contribution to IAA.
Swamy is the Global President of IAA. He is the first Indian to hold this post. Narayan is a Director on the Global Board of IAA and Vice President of the APAC Region. Both have also been inducted into the IAA India Chapter Hall of Fame and are recipients of several other prestigious awards in the marketing communications field. Also, both of them are former presidents of the India chapter of IAA.
Swamy and Narayan have been honored with the IAA's Global Champions Awards at a ceremony held in London in 2014. Apart from this, Swami and Narayan have received many awards in the marketing communication sector.
The IAA is the world's only globally-focused integrated advertising trade association, representing advertising agencies and media. It comprises 56 chapters with corporate members, organizational members, academic associates, individual members, and young professionals from 76 countries including the world's top 10 economies. The IAA is over 80 years old and is headquartered in New York.
Membership of the IAA India Chapter is by invitation only, with senior marketing, advertising, and media professionals as members.
