Gujarat Government Launches ‘ParishramNe Ajwaliye’ Initiative to Recognize and Promote Small and Medium Vendors

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], November 1: The festive spirit of Diwali, the festival of lights, has enveloped Gujarat with an air of excitement. People of all ages, from children to elders, and from homes to offices, are engaged in a unique shopping spree during this festive season.

To ensure that everyone can partake in the joy of Diwali and to sustain the enthusiasm and employment opportunities, our beloved Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has strongly advocated the cause of ‘Vocal for Local.’ In acknowledgment of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s call and with a commitment to support the endeavors of small and medium-sized local vendors, the Government of Gujarat announced the ‘ParishramNe Ajwaliye’ initiative, a special competition to be held from November 1st to November 20th, 2023.

Anyone who wants to support small vendors can join the initiative. To participate, individuals are required to create a video or reel in any language that promotes or supports local businesses. Participants have to share their videos on social media platforms, tagging ‘@InfoGujarat.

To encourage and recognize the efforts of contestants, the Gujarat Government will present incentive prizes. A total of 33 selected contestants will have the opportunity to receive prizes of up to Rs.50,000/-.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, has extended his heartfelt support to the hardworking local vendors. He appeals to everyone to support small vendors and purchase from local vendors who rely on daily income for their livelihoods.

In today’s ever-evolving market and competitive landscape, small and medium vendors tirelessly dedicate themselves to maintaining employment opportunities. It is our shared responsibility to nurture the essence of compassion by bolstering local employment within our communities.

The ‘ParishramNe Ajwaliye’ initiative aims to acknowledge the dedication of local businesses and encourage people to support local vendors.
