The squad of England for the five-match series of Women's T20 Internationals against India on June 28 has been released. The 14-player women's cricket team of England will be captained by Nat Sciver-Brunt. The left-handed spinner Sophie Ecclestone has joined the team for this crucial game. The Indian women's cricket team will be playing a three-match series of One Day Internationals against the home team in the England tour as well.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has reported that Sophie Ecclestone will make the team stronger following the 3-0 success against the West Indies, which was Edwards' first series along with new skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt. In June, 26-year-old Ecclestone had rested from domestic cricket to deal with her quads issue, along with her overall health.

This is a tough test for us. Five matches against India in front of big crowds on great grounds will prove to be very beneficial for us. This series is going to be important for us, as the countdown to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup has begun." The first match of the women's T20 International series between India and England will be played on June 28 at Trent Bridge, the second on July 1 at Bristol, the third on July 4 at the Oval, the fourth on July 9 at Old Trafford, and the fifth match will be played at Edgbaston.
