Tesla chief Elon Musk's visit to India has been postponed. It is reported that Musk himself decided to postpone this tour for some time. Let us tell you that Musk was going to come to India on Monday itself and meet PM Narendra Modi.

Musk also posted about this from his handle on X. He said, "Unfortunately, I have to postpone my visit to India due to my responsibility towards Tesla. But I am looking forward to the opportunity to visit India this year itself."

According to reports, three people with knowledge of the matter have confirmed the postponement of Musk's visit. However, the reasons for this have not been disclosed. No statement has been issued yet by Tesla or the Government of India on this.

The fact that Elon Musk himself confirmed his trip to India just last week makes this noteworthy. Things about his visit, though, remained under wraps. There were rumours that Musk's trip would probably take place in tandem with the nation's first factory opening and the disclosure of Tesla's investment intentions.

Reportedly, Tesla was offered profitable land for this purpose by the state governments of Gujarat and Maharashtra. To meet the demand for Tesla's electric vehicles both domestically and internationally, a manufacturing plant is proposed, with an estimated investment of US$2 billion to US$3 billion.
